Aiyuk, who is entering the final year of his five-year rookie contract, has sought a long-term extension this offseason. General manager John Lynch said there were no absolutes regarding a potential Aiyuk trade, but emphasized the 49ers fully intend on Brandon being a Niner.
Aiyuk, 26, is coming off a 2023 season with 75 receptions for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns. In his four-year career with San Francisco, Aiyuk has totaled 269 receptions for 3,931 yards and 25 TDs.
Aiyuk has been an essential part of the skill position core of the 49ers, but his future may be uncertain beyond the 2024 season due to potential replacements like Ricky Pearsall, a first-round draft pick in 2024.
