A woman opened fire at Lakewood Church in Houston, killing herself and injuring a child. Police did not provide details on the relationship between the woman and the child.

Students at James Madison High School in Houston protested a new cell phone ban by walking out of their classrooms, causing the school to go on lockdown.
The students claimed the new policy violated their Fourth Amendment rights and argued that they should not be punished for the actions of a few students. [ more ]
