Different Hospitality acquired Houston specialty coffee roaster Boomtown Coffee in a transaction brokered by Transworld Business Advisors of South & West Texas; financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition is designed to preserve Boomtown's brand, leadership, and existing presence while providing additional operational support, long-term stability, and new opportunities for team growth and development. Boomtown operates a small-batch roastery and two Houston cafes, including the original Heights location and a downtown Understory cafe, and dates back to 2011. Different Hospitality was founded by Houston Heights native Charlie McIntyre, who previously launched Heights Coffee Roasters.
