Dr. Randa Jaafar, a Manhattan anesthesiologist, has filed a gender discrimination lawsuit against her boss, claiming he demeaned her, propositioned her, and undermined her qualifications.
In her suit, Jaafar alleges her boss Sireen Gopal, after giving her a 'best costume' award, propositioned her to spend the night in his apartment, equating it to a sexual invitation.
Jaafar asserts that after she raised issues about her pay, Gopal's behavior changed, leading to discriminatory remarks and denigrations regarding her educational background from Cornell University.
