5 rescued, 3 hospitalized in SF Mission District apartment fire, officials say

Five people were rescued from a 2-alarm apartment fire in San Francisco's Mission District Tuesday morning, fire officials say.
SF Fire says firefighters rescued the five people from inside and on the fire escape. Three of those five people were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Eight people are also displaced from the fire and the Red Cross is being called to assist.
