A British court ruled that Julian Assange, founder of Wikileaks, can appeal his U.S. extradition, which may alter the defense of Espionage Act cases and the relationship between the Act, the First Amendment, and a free press.
Assange's legal team believes the case is politically driven retaliation for embarrassing the U.S. through leaked documents, including video of American helicopters attacking Iraqi civilians.
