A 10 percent increase in people working remotely could reduce carbon emissions by 192 million metric tons a year, cutting emissions from the transportation sector by 10 percent.
"In the U.S., I'm sad to say it's just not high on the priority list," said Kate Lister, founder of Global Workplace Analytics, regarding businesses not considering climate change in future office work decisions.
