The frontman discusses why he thinks Planet Zero continues to resonate years after its initial release, attributing much of it to the band's raw authenticity.
"I would like to think that Shinedown is showing the industry that you can be a game-changer, you can have this approach with rock musicians not necessarily just being looked at as rock musicians, allowing these artists to broaden their reach," he says.
Smith previews plans for Shinedown's next album, which he says will be less concept-driven and more guest-heavy.
