Transport for London has revealed their plans to extend the DLR to Thamesmead - an area in much need of getting some transport links.
The proposed extension would take the DLR to Thamesbead by way of Beckton Riverside where a new station will be built and connect two Opportunity Areas with four development sites.
The first official public consultation is now being held, it will be open until March 18. Funding is still to be approved and the plans are focusing on making the extension affordable.
