Transport for London is planning to extend the DLR to Thamesmead, an area in need of improved transport links.
The proposed extension would connect two Opportunity Areas and potentially create 25,000 to 30,000 new homes.
The first official public consultation is now open, with construction potentially starting in 2028 and the extended DLR operational by the early 2030s. [ more ]

The proposed DLR extension from Gallions Reach to Thamesmead would create two new stations and potentially unlock the construction of 25,000-30,000 new homes.
The consultation period for public feedback on the proposal is open from February 5 to March 18.
The extension would support the creation of almost 10,000 jobs and boost the economy in the Royal Borough of Greenwich and London Borough of Newham. [ more ]
