London hospitals declare emergency following ransomware attack

The outage caused by the ransomware attack has led major hospitals in London to cancel non-emergency surgeries, including blood transfusion-dependent procedures, impacting critical services and patient care.

The attack on Synnovis, supplier of medical services, forces hospitals to redirect activities as trauma cases may be hindered by a shortage of urgent blood components during the ongoing IT disruption.
