Hospitals cyber attack impacts 800 operations
Briefly

More than 800 planned operations and 700 outpatient appointments were rearranged in the first week after a cyber attack hit London hospitals, caused when hackers targeted Synnovis.
NHS trusts, King's College Hospital, and Guy's and St Thomas' were heavily impacted. Medical director Dr. Chris Streather warned of continued disruption.
Disruption led to rescheduling C-sections, diverting organs, postponing outpatient appointments, and suspending optional blood-borne virus tests.
NHS London declared a regional incident to mitigate impact, ensuring time-sensitive care, re-routing tests, and providing extra blood stocks for transfusions.
