The Environment Agency has warned that flooding is expected to impact low-lying roads and footpaths for up to two hours, although property flooding is not anticipated.
Flood alerts cover the Tidal Thames area from Putney Bridge to Teddington Weir, with specific locations affected including Putney Embankment and Chiswick Mall.
Current river flow at Teddington Weir is above normal for this time of year, which is 36 cubic metres per second, and is still increasing due to recent rains.
