"BROOKLYN, NY - Din Tai Fung is bringing its world-famous soup dumplings and noodles to Brooklyn, but fans might have to wait a little longer for the new spot to open. The renowned soup dumpling chain, famous for lengthy reservation waits, has signed a lease for a sprawling 20,000-square-foot space at 567 Fulton Street, according to the Commercial Observer. The 52-story residential tower in Downtown Brooklyn, which recently welcomed its first tenants, is a project by the Witkoff Group and Apollo Global Management."
"Founded in 1972, the restaurant has grown to more than 170 locations across 14 countries worldwide. It has a strong foothold in California with 11 spots, plus locations across the West Coast and in cities like Hong Kong, Australia, Japan, Canada, South Korea and Thailand. Din Tai Fung's menu offers a variety of steamed dumplings and buns, along with signature dishes including shrimp and pork potstickers, truffle-infused xiao long bao, sweet and sour pork baby back ribs and black pepper beef tenderloin."
Din Tai Fung will open a Brooklyn location after signing a lease for a 20,000-square-foot space at 567 Fulton Street. The site sits in a 52-story Downtown Brooklyn residential tower developed by the Witkoff Group and Apollo Global Management. Din Tai Fung was founded in 1972 and now operates more than 170 locations across 14 countries, with a strong presence in California. The menu centers on xiao long bao and other steamed dumplings, plus signature dishes such as truffle-infused xiao long bao, potstickers, sweet and sour pork ribs and black pepper beef. A second New York City location is expected to open around 2027 following a 2024 Broadway debut.
