Scheme to provide schools with more teaching assistants

Three Havering schools will benefit from teaching assistants to address the skills shortage in the sector. Bower Park Academy, Hall Mead School, and Hacton Primary School will receive staff through the ELAT apprenticeship scheme.
ELAT, in partnership with Randstad, aims to tackle the teaching workforce shortage. The first cohort of teaching assistants will be inducted this month through the apprenticeship program.
