The Gen4 Formula E car will debut in the 2026-27 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, offering 450 kW (about 603 hp) in race trim and up to 600 kW (over 800 hp) in Attack Mode, roughly 200 hp more than Gen3. A permanent all-wheel-drive system remains active throughout races, improving acceleration and grip while enabling unlimited traction control and anti-lock braking. Regenerative braking now peaks at 700 kW versus Gen3's 600 kW, and usable battery capacity increases to 55 kWh from 51 kWh. Tunable aero includes high-downforce qualifying and low-downforce race options. The car uses 100 percent recyclable composites with at least 20 percent recycled material.
