The Commercial Vehicle Unit were out on the roads checking the certifications of taxi drivers when they discovered that the driver was not only unregistered as a taxi driver, but they also weren't registered to drive at all.
Officers discovered that the vehicle's tyres were in "extremely poor condition" and determined that it was a "danger to other road users." The driver was arrested and charged with a court date to follow, while the car was also seized.
