Despite Amazon's commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, the report indicated that an uneven understanding of policies led workers to feel that the discipline process was unfair.
Thomas P. DiNapoli emphasized that while Amazon has numerous programs for equity, the audit highlighted the need for better communication with employees regarding policies.
The audit encouraged Amazon to enhance its communication strategies to address perceptions of inequity and ensure all staff are informed about company processes.
