Wet weather prompts flood watch, power outages

Boston and the North Shore are under a flood warning as flooding of area creeks and streams is "imminent or occurring," the National Weather Service said.
Portions of southern New England have been upgraded to a *MODERATE* risk for excessive rainfall through Monday morning. Between 3-6" of rain is expected in the area in red which may lead to urban, poor drainage, and flash flooding as well as rapid rises on small rivers & streams.
The main risk for strong to damaging wind this morning will be across Cape Cod and the Islands where S winds will gust to 50-60 mph before shifting to NW and diminishing. Elsewhere, expect NW winds gusting to 25-35 mph today.
