Microsoft, BlackRock form fund to back AI infrastructure
Briefly

Microsoft has announced the Global AI Infrastructure Investment Partnership (GAIIP) in collaboration with BlackRock and other investors, aiming to raise $100 billion for data centers and energy infrastructure.
The partnership plans to raise $30 billion initially, to be invested in both new data centers and enhancing existing sites to meet increasing demand for computational power.
Investments will primarily target the US, along with potential allocations to 'US partner countries', which may include regions like the UAE, due to the involvement of MGX.
Nvidia is participating in the project, aiming to provide AI server technology and support to design and integrate the infrastructure aligned with industry innovation.
