A big rig traveling on Virginia Street lost control, hitting a fire hydrant and causing flooding in the area before crashing into two cars and a house.

The crash occurred on the northbound 215 freeway near Eucalyptus Avenue around 7:30 p.m., resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries.

The incident took place around 11 a.m. as Benicia police attempted to do a traffic stop. The car went off the highway at Westbound 780, rolling over into the bushes, landing between Columbus Parkway and Glen Cove Road. The woman was ejected and alert, and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, authorities said.

Just after 4 p.m. Saturday, the motorcyclist was riding a 2019 KTM Duke at a high rate of speed on southbound Highway 29, authorities said. He approached the intersection as the Tesla's driver crossed the southbound lanes while turning left from Hoffman onto northbound Highway 29.

A motorcyclist died Thursday after colliding with a sedan in what police said was a DUI-related wreck involving another driver. Authorities are investigating a suspicious death near Lake Berryessa that closed a stretch of Highway 128, according to the Napa County Sheriff's Office.
