"Being as young as we were is something very unique, especially with certain positions, especially by the end of the year after the trade deadline and injuries. I think it was a pretty good experience in the sense that, when you have a group that mainly the whole group's going to return, you can kind of go through some of that growth you have to go through."
The Wizards have added several high upside players to an already young roster with the likes of Cam Whitmore, Tre Johnson and Will Riley landing in the DMV this offseason. In addition to the young players, Washington managed to pair two of the best veteran leaders in the league together in CJ McCollum and Khris Middleton, who will serve as mentors for the Wizards heading into next season.
