But while most of these characters look like Easter eggs, Yoshi appears to be a major part of the plot. We see Toad's reaction to a dinosaur randomly joining the team, and the teaser ends with Yoshi (now babysitting Baby Mario and Baby Luigi) facing off against an actual dinosaur, presumably a nod to Super Mario Odyssey. After a quick teaser during the September Nintendo Direct, a new trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy movie has been revealed. The sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie is scheduled to be released on April 3, 2026, and it once again features the vocal talents of the 2023 film's cast, including Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, and Jack Black as Bowser.
The livestream will be available Wednesday, November 12, at 9:00 a.m. ET for the special Nintendo Direct. "Please note that no game information will be included in this presentation," the company cautioned. Still, that gives us the rest of the day to wrap our minds around whichever new stars have been cast to bring the latest trip back to the Mushroom Kingdom to life.
