New Jersey Devils player Michael McLeod and four other hockey players have been charged in connection with an alleged sexual assault in 2018.
The accused players are expected to plead not guilty and have been granted leave from their NHL teams.
The incident is alleged to have occurred after a Hockey Canada gala in June 2018 where the players were honored for their victory at the World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. [ more ]
