Poco X8 Pro Max features an 8,500mAh battery with 100W charging, IP68 water resistance, and MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor, launching March 17.
The two are definitely launching soon, though, and today their mandatory EU Energy Labels have appeared. These show 52-hour battery life for the A57 and 53 hours for the Galaxy A37, and both phones will be IP68 certified for dust and water resistance. That's up from IP67 on their predecessors.
While the lake spares this area much of the bitter cold, temperatures regularly drop well below zero at night. We have weeks where daily highs are in the single digits Fahrenheit. If that sounds miserable to you its because you don't have the clothes to deal with it. In order to get outside and do anything in these conditions you need good gear.
Being tumbled around in a pocket or bag with keys and coins is hard on anything. But this isn't what killed my old keychain flashlight. Also: 10 tiny gadgets I never leave home without (and how they work) No, long story short, I dropped it into the Mediterranean Sea while trying to use it to light up a fish I saw in the water one night.
Dive watches are a perennial favorite of watch collectors for good reason: Built to survive the ocean's depths, they're highly legible, thoroughly water resistant, made from excellent materials, and available in a wide array of designs and price points. As an added bonus, they're often inherently good-looking, too. While we've covered excellent divers at the sub-$1,000 mark, we thought it was about time to do the same at a wider price range.
No phone is waterproof. No phone is dustproof. Your phone's sealants wear away over time; when they're exposed salt or chlorine in your swimming water; or when they're dropped, dented, or cracked. Your warranty doesn't cover liquid damage; if companies find water in an IP68 phone, it's proof you damaged it! But while these things are all true of every manufacturer in my reporting, I've never seen a company proactively say them out loud like Google just did in advertising materials.
