Ill-fated Brooklyn Mirage concert venue taken over by new owner - with summer reopening date

The Brooklyn Mirage music venue is set to welcome ravers again this June after another nightlife company has stepped in to save the troubled spot, which was not allowed to reopen because of numerous safety issues. The gargantuan indoor- and outdoor-venue will be renamed Pacha New York, with Pacha Group parent company FIVE Holdings to take over the Brooklyn Mirage.

The local indie radio network starts broadcasting its Christmas channels soon after Halloween, because why wait 'til Black Friday when the entire economy is already geared up for the big day beyond it?
