Successful events hinge on detailed planning, including site maps, barricade layouts, and medical staging areas. These elements are critical for safety and operational success.
"I do hate him," Morales told Alvaro Colemenoro. "We don't have a very good vibe. But at the end of the day, he's still a fighter. I'm not gonna get overconfident if I had to prepare myself to fight him... That fight is gonna be intense if it happens... I think that if I were to fight him, it would be the first time that I would fight in a very aggressive way."
The drama all came down to a $100 permit that at the time the UFC was refusing to acquire. The D.C. commission and its head, Andrew Huff, stated that any fight card run without this permit would be considered unsanctioned and may not be eligible for records. Huff's overarching concern is that any other event would receive this same permit that would allow the commission to be involved in the regulatory process, including the use of commission medical staff.
I'm thrilled to announce this historic seminar between the FBI and the UFC at Quantico. This is a tremendous opportunity for our FBI agents to learn and train with some of the greatest athletes on earth - helping the world's premier law enforcement agency be even better prepared to protect the American people. Dana White has changed the game in the mixed martial arts industry and we're extremely honored to be partnered with him.
I'm trying to change that narrative. I'm a big dude that never gave up on himself, you know, not a fat kid chasing a dream. UFC staff and medical personnel quickly intervened, attending to Smotherman within seconds of the incident. He regained consciousness shortly afterward and was escorted away for further examination by physicians.
"I'm completely okay. I'm good. I'm not entirely sure what happened. I see a lot of people online saying, 'Oh, it was a crazy weight cut,' stuff like that. I genuinely didn't cut very much weight for this fight,"
Muhammad Mokaev has seemingly been invited back to the UFC, but not to compete in MMA. Mokaev (15-0) recently won the under-65 kilogram title at the English Senior Wrestling Championships in freestyle wrestling. Mokaev claims he has now been offered to fight jiu-jitsu ace Mikey Musumeci for a UFC BJJ title. "I have been offered to compete against Mikey Mussumeci for the UFC BJJ belt. What do you think guys?" Mokaev wrote on X.
