Following their legendary meeting at a Calvin Klein showroom in New York City, John and Carolyn began dating seriously in 1994. It was then that the son of the president decided to put down more permanent roots in Tribeca with the purchase of the penthouse at 20 North Moore Street. Prior to that, John had been a tenant at an apartment on 71 Hudson Street, also in Tribeca, that was owned at the time by film producer Michael Ulick.
