Why was a Florida fire rescuer arrested after a crash sent his 3-year-old to the ICU?
Vidal Victor Lazo, a South Florida fire rescue lieutenant, pleaded not guilty to charges of child neglect after a car crash in which his 3-year-old daughter was injured.
Lazo was arrested after a toxicology test detected opiates, methamphetamine, and alcohol in his blood.
The investigation is ongoing and the fire department has not yet taken action against Lazo. [ more ]
