1. Kimbrel aims for 400: Not even two weeks after Kenley Jansen made history as the seventh player to reach 400 career saves, veteran righty Craig Kimbrel is poised to do the same.

As MLB's regular season continues - and with one transaction already on the books this morning - here are three things we'll be keeping an eye on around the baseball world today:
1. Bryce is back: Phillies superstar Bryce Harper was cleared to return to the team's lineup yesterday, and will make his season debut tonight against the Dodgers.

Though the Dodgers (19-14) had won six in a row prior to last night's 5-2 loss in San Diego, they had also lost their last two games on the road in Pittsburgh and are now 7-8 on the road this season compared to 12-6 at Dodger Stadium.Obviously that home record was 6-6 not that long ago, but the team has lost both of its road series against teams with records above .500

Across the span of a good year and a half, Nestor Cortes was such a fun story for the Yankees.A former 36th-round pick and non-roster invitee on his third different stint with New York, Cortes fought his way back to the majors in 2021 and earned himself a rotation spot down the stretch.He quickly proved that it was his to lose with a solid 3.35 ERA in 15 games from July onward, and then defied expectations with an even better 2022 that netted him an All-Star appearance and cult hero status in the Bronx.

The Yankees have been cycling through various names in the back of the bullpen over the past week, as a few not-so-close games against the A's allowed them to give their top arms a breather.Veteran Nick Ramirez hadn't pitched since April 30th before being called upon for the final two frames on Monday.

After winning a series in Seattle and splitting the first two in LA, the Yankees will look to wrap up their west coast road trip tonight win a win.Yesterday saw the Yankees win 6-3 over the Dodgers and a win tonight would see them take both series before returning home on Tuesday.For tonight's game, the Yankees will send Domingo Germán to the mound.

The first couple months of 2023 have not been particularly healthy ones for the Yankees.Since the start of spring training, they've lost Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Judge, Josh Donaldson, Harrison Bader, Oswald Peraza, Carlos Rodón, Luis Severino, Tommy Kahnle, Jonathan Loáisiga, Ian Hamilton, Lou Trivino, and Frankie Montas to the injured list, and the only ones to make a successful comeback to the bigs thus far have been Judge and Bader (Severino is on track to return Sunday).

The Atlanta Braves and Texas Rangers have both unveiled their lineups for tonight's series opener at Globe Life Field in Arlington.The Braves are trying to snap a four-game losing streak and if they're going to do it, it's going to be with most of the usual faces who they've been having line up for them so far this season.

Ah, Baseball.The one sport that's ready to knock you out the second you feel good about how a game went down.Yesterday, the San Francisco Giants won 14-4, scoring the most runs at Oracle Park since July 2015.18 hours later, they lose 2-1.It wasn't the worst game you'll see the Giants play, but it was pretty typical of what we've seen since roundabout 2017.

For the final time this season, Juventus will play a game on a Monday night.For what is, unfortunately, not the first time this season, Juventus are left to wonder just what their standing is going to be in the league when they take the field to try and win a game.Last time it was in the Europa League.

After a gutsy Game 5 road win in Raleigh, the New York Islanders earned the right to host Game 6 against the Carolina Hurricanes with a chance to force a winner-take-all Game 7 on Sunday night back in Carolina.Last Friday night, UBS Arena hosted Game 3-the building's first playoff action-and the building was raucous to start and particularly after the third Islanders goal.

The White Sox look to win their sixth game in their last seven tonight at Great American Ballpark.A win tonight would secure back-to-back series wins and the ball club's second of the season.It seems only logical that with an easier schedule the games would be easier to win.The South Siders will need to tee off against Reds starting pitcher Nick Lodolo to get the job done.

The Seattle Kraken have a chance to win the series later this evening.If Seattle wins, it will be the first time in their history that they have won a playoff round.In a matchup that has brought so many surprises, it won't be a surprise if Seattle closes it out now based on how they've played.With all that being said, let's look at three things to keep an eye on in tonight's game six.
1. Cale Makar is back after serving his one-game suspension.

Maple Leafs fans will gather in downtown Toronto tonight, as the team tries to advance to the second round of the National Hockey League playoffs for the first time since 2004.The Maple Leafs have a commanding 3-1 series lead over the Tampa Bay Lightning after back-to-back comeback wins in Florida, and will look to close out the series tonight on home ice.

The Eastern Conference wild card race has pretty much delivered this season, providing a tight group down the stretch where teams competed by tripping over their toes.It's tapered off now with under 10 games to go, as teams like tonight's hosts, the Washington Capitals, have probably stumbled one too many times.
