Wim Wenders was invited to Tokyo to visit the Tokyo Toilet art project and make a series of short documentary films about the aesthetically beautiful public toilets.
Wenders decided to make a fictional feature film instead, which turned out to be a masterclass in slow cinema. [ more ]
