State Program to Clear Encampments Shows Mixed Results With Many Still Unhoused | KQED
The Encampment Resolution Fund grant program in California has had mixed results, including in San José where it has not met its goal of finding permanent housing for most people moved off the Guadalupe River Trail.
Of the $48 million awarded in the first round of grants, only three out of 19 jurisdictions have reported completely clearing their targeted encampments, leaving nearly 750 people still living in camps. [ more ]
