Cat Missal is openly gay, uses she/they pronouns, and lives with partner Jess Panneton while portraying Bree on Hulu's Tell Me Lies.
Tell Me Lies actor Cat Missal has confirmed that she is gay, revealing that she is currently in a relationship with a woman. The 26-year-old American actress plays Bree in hit Hulu series Tell Me Lies, which came to a close following the recently-released third season. Speaking to Teen Vogue about the show's end - the last episode aired on 17 February - Missal succinctly explained why she won't have to deal with the types of toxic men that defined Tell Me Lies.
You know who I'm shipping right now? Pippa and Diana. You know who I'm no longer shipping? Bree and Evan. Wrigley is the one man left in the Tell Me Lies universe who doesn't deserve immediate jail, and the big reveal at the end of "Fix Me Up, Girl" is that he's the one blowing up Bree's phone on her wedding day because they've been having an affair.
"As a genuine fan of Tell Me Lies, I was so excited to watch the new season, let alone make music for it," said CHVRCHES frontwoman Lauren Mayberry in a statement. "We were in the studio working on the new CHVRCHES album when we got the call and it was a really fun thing to get our teeth stuck into, finding the right balance of emotions - heartfelt, yet unhinged - to mirror what the show is so good at."
The new season follows Lucy Albright (Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (White) as they've rekindled their tumultuous romance in time for spring semester at Baird College. The trailer begins with Lucy speaking to a video camera. "I need to apologize... to everyone. So I am making this tape to say that I am so sorry." Although the pair "promise things will be different this time, past indiscretions hinder their best intentions, and Lucy finds herself embroiled in a controversy she wants nothing to do with."
