"Being as young as we were is something very unique, especially with certain positions, especially by the end of the year after the trade deadline and injuries. I think it was a pretty good experience in the sense that, when you have a group that mainly the whole group's going to return, you can kind of go through some of that growth you have to go through."
"That's just how I was raised. I feel like Northwood, the basketball gym felt like my home since I'm there so much, before, during and after school... I just wanted to help out. That was really it."
"We try to put ourselves in situations every day in practice where we're facing adversity, where we're being pushed to our edge, and that's where you're forced to grow and feel forced to make decisions."
The starting lineup is going to change, the rotation is going to change. As a coach, I am still in fact-finding mode. Not in terms of who they are ... but trying to find some chemistry and see what combinations work together.
Listen up, that roar at your door is the UCLA women's basketball team, bursting on to the national headlines Sunday after delivering the kind of Big Ten tournament title beating that sounds, well, fake. MILAN -- Jack Eichel scored off his own faceoff win a minute after setting up Brady Tkachuk's first of two goals the same way, and the U.S. rode its top line to a 6-3 defeat of Denmark on Saturday night, keeping pace with also-unbeaten Canada for the top seed in the men's hockey tournament at the Olympics. The U.S. bounced back from goaltender Jeremy Swayman getting beaten by a shot from 95 feet away, just inside the center red line, 11 minutes in.
Chang, the Hall of Famer who won the 1989 French Open at age 17 and later rose to No. 2 in the world, has rarely taken on coaching roles since retiring from the tour. But the opportunity to mentor Tien - a rising 20-year-old American with a brainy game and similar background - proved intriguing.
