A secretive government program is allowing law enforcement to access phone records of Americans not suspected of a crime.
The program, known as Data Analytical Services (DAS), uses chain analysis to target not only direct contacts of criminal suspects but also anyone they have been in contact with.
The program is run in coordination with AT&T and has received millions of dollars in funding from the White House. [ more ]
