Jelly Roll has won the inaugural award for Best Contemporary Country Album at the 2026 Grammys. His album Beautifully Broken beat out records by Eric Church ( Evangeline vs. the Machine), Kelsea Ballerini ( Patterns), Miranda Lambert ( Postcards From Texas), and Tyler Childers ( Snipe Hunter). This is Jelly Roll's third win of the night out of three nominations. He's also taking home Best Country Duo/Group Performance for the Shaboozey duet "Amen" and Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for "Hard Fought Hallelujah" with Brandon Lake.

Bruce Hornsby has unveiled the starry tracklist of new album Indigo Park. Ezra Koenig, Bonnie Raitt, Blake Mills, Pino Palladino, Chris Dave, and the late Grateful Dead legends Bob Weir and Robert Hunter are among the contributors joining the singer-songwriter and his longtime band the Noisemakers. The album is due April 3, via his own Zappo Productions and Thirty Tigers. The following week, Hornsby will take the Noisemakers on the road. The Recording Academy just made a move that's splitting the music world down the middle. Their stance on AI-generated music promises to protect human creativity-but the guidelines? They've opened more questions than they've answered. The declaration sounds straightforward: only music with "significant human creative contribution" qualifies for Grammy consideration. Dig into the details, though, and you'll find a policy so riddled with ambiguity that artists, producers, and industry insiders are left guessing where the boundaries actually lie.

The new index will be released semi-annually, and will be derived from polling of nearly 60 independent artists, managers, and music lawyers. RCA is reviving Jive Records as a standalone label, the company announced today (February 3). Former UnitedMasters executives Mike Weiss and David Melhado will serve as co-presidents of the revamped imprint. They'll run operations from Sony Music 's New York City headquarters.
