Amazon MGM Studios announced that the upcoming Spaceballs movie will hit theaters on April 23, 2027, right around the 40th anniversary of the first film.

Famously, Return of the Jedi was filmed under the name 'Blue Harvest' to avoid undue attention, while Attack of the Clones was (ironically) called 'Jar-Jar's Great Adventure.'

The Science Museum is boldly going where no science museum has (probably) gone before, opening a season of Star Trek events that beam sci-fi imagination straight into the realm of real science. To mark Star Trek's 60th anniversary, the Science Museum will launch several months of events with a late-evening opening of the museum for adults next month. The museum late takes place on Thursday 26th March, and will feature a range of Star Trek themed events throughout the evening.

This significant prop, accompanied by its original case, carries an estimate of $250,000 to $500,000 dollars. Also due to go under the hammer at Propstore auction house in Los Angeles next month is the Fenwick fishing rod with reel, used by Shaw's character, Quint, in his encounter with the ferocious shark. The rod is estimated to sell for between $75,000 and $150,000 dollars.

With only a few months left before release, we finally have a detailed trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu, the silver-screen spinoff of the show that launched Disney+. From the looks of it, it was worth the wait. There's something for every fan here: unmasked Din Djarin, Grogu being a scamp, an Ardennian shopkeeper almost certainly voiced by Martin Scorsese, and a Hutt speaking Basic.

This mobile dwelling isn't your typical tiny home with cutesy charm and rustic wood siding. Instead, it channels the intimidating presence of one of cinema's most notorious villains, transforming that dark energy into a sophisticated living space that commands attention wherever it travels. The inspiration is obvious from the name alone, yet the design team showed restraint by avoiding kitsch Star Wars memorabilia, focusing instead on capturing the essence of power and sleekness associated with the iconic character.

In June 2025, EA's Star Wars Battlefront II received an unprecedented uptick in players on Steam. Having previously peaked at an all-time player count of 10,489 in January 2021, Star Wars Battlefront II more than tripled this figure with an all-time peak of 35,892, thanks in part to a bargain bin sale price of $5 at the time. The sudden surge in player count was attributed to a fan campaign on Reddit by members of the r/StarWarsBattlefront community, following the success of second season.

Grogu (fka "Baby Yoda") won viewers' hearts from the moment he first appeared onscreen in the first season of The Mandalorian, and the relationship between the little green creature and his father-figure bounty hunter, the titular Mandalorian, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), has only gotten stronger. With the 2023 Hollywood strikes delaying production on season 4 of the series, director Jon Favreau got the green light to make this spinoff film.

That is of course the famed holiday May the 4th, and in honor, the festival announced they're bringing actor Anthony Daniels, who's played C-3PO in every canonical film, for a special screening of . Daniels, a mime actor, appeared as C-3PO in all three movies, all three prequels, all three sequels, plus the spin-offs and , as well as a slew of animated TV specials and series.
