The supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy, Sagittarius A*, is spinning so fast that it warps spacetime and takes on the shape of a football.
Researchers used a new method, called the 'outflow method', to estimate the mass and spin rate of Sagittarius A*, using data from NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory and the National Science Foundation's Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array (VLA).
