The ski area received more than 20 inches of new snow through a recent storm, and the forecast has more in store through the rest of the week.

Provincial police say a 14-year-old is dead following a two-vehicle collision in Oxford County, Ont., Saturday. In a news release Saturday, Ontario Provincial Police said officers responded to reports of a collision between a snowmobile and a pickup truck in the area of Road 92 and 23rd Line in the Zorra township shortly after 10:30 a.m. The 14-year-old snowmobile operator was transported to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries, the OPP said.

At the scene, conservation officers determined that the snowmobile operator, 37-year-old Dejay Ducharme of Mason, went off the roadway at a high rate of speed and hit a tree.
