A man in Minnesota was busted for accepting money from viewers on TikTok and using it to play slot machines, leading to charges of running a remote bookmaking operation.
The man received two years' probation, a fine, and faces additional charges for instructing others to violate gambling laws and for a similar scheme at another casino.
The operation made money through subscription fees and a cut from the betting funds, and had 165,000 followers on TikTok.
