Portland Trail Blazers excel in playoffs, largely due to Deni Avdija's standout performance after his trade from Washington Wizards.
I had been at [Manchester] City for three years, so I was aware of all of our best young talent, but I was also aware of all the young players of, say, [born in] 2002 right the way up to 2007/8. So I knew all of the best talent, and I had a pretty strong idea that the players at Cardiff were as good as a lot of the best young talent in Europe.
We see him every day, playing at the highest level in the Champions League. He will certainly be one of the best in the world one day; he's on the right track. Everything he does is right. His level is already on par with the best players in Europe.

The Texas Tech star (19.6 PPG, 7.5 APG, 44% from beyond the arc) is the son of a German father and recently played for Germany's 2025 FIBA U19 World Cup team. In that event, he averaged 17.3 PPG, leading the nation to a silver medal. He could be an All-American this season and represent Germany once again in the 2028 Olympic Summer Games.
