3 months agoTwo lawyers at Tom Girardi's law firm sanctioned over mishandling of client money
Tom Girardi's son-in-law and a second lawyer from his firm have been sanctioned by a State Bar judge for not adequately protecting clients from Girardi's misappropriation of settlement funds.
David Lira, who is married to Girardi's daughter and worked for his firm for over 20 years, is barred from controlling client bank accounts and must work under another attorney's supervision.
Keith Griffin, who worked with Girardi for two decades, had his law license suspended for six months and is on probation for a year for concealing information about settlement funds from clients. [ more ]
