Queens to host new memorial in Whitestone honoring 99 post-9/11 fallen service members QNS

A new memorial will honor 99 fallen post-9/11 service members from NYC, with a significant portion from Queens.

Mayor Eric Adams and Queens Borough President Donovan Richards presented the plans for the memorial.

Transgender service members face separation from the military unless they obtain a special exemption under a new Pentagon policy.
