Ofsted inspected the school in December 2023 after being exempt from routine inspection since 2011. It was rated 'good' in quality of education and leadership, and 'outstanding' in other categories.

The school was praised for exemplary behavior of pupils and strong subject knowledge of teachers. Areas for improvement include making smaller steps of learning clearer for pupils with SEND. [ more ]

Plans have been approved to improve educational provision for children with complex special needs in Sutton through the opening of Angel Hill Free School in September 2025.

Sherwood Park School Hill Campus will also undergo improvement works including a new kitchen and additional spaces for students to relax and study. [ more ]
