California Gov. Gavin Newsom criticized Sacramento County for being slow to implement a new law easing the path to conservatorships for those with severe mental illness or addiction.
Newsom urged the county to prioritize the implementation of Senate Bill 43, which makes it easier to place individuals struggling with mental health or addiction issues in conservatorships. [ more ]
