The Grand Palais in Paris unveiled an enormous exhibition focusing on the final 13 years of Henri Matisse's life and work, featuring abundant examples of his celebrated gouache cut-outs.

The Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation presents Platform Dalí, a new international program inspired by the Empordà-born artist whose work was profoundly shaped by the scientific advances of the 20th century. Directed by the curator and art historian Mónica Bello, an internationally recognized leader at the intersection of art and science and former Head of Arts at CERN, Geneva, Platform Dalí fosters dialogue between artists and scientists to explore new ways of understanding the world.

Whether you arrive by bus (there's a direct one from Barcelona airport) or car, your first view of this Catalonian hideaway comes as you crest the hills of Cap de Creus natural park, before descending the single road of switchbacks that flows into town. With every turn, Cadaqués reveals more of itself, until its many little beaches, shining white buildings and bay of bobbing boats come into full view.
