Program to provide cash for pregnant women in Flint, Michigan, and families with newborns
A program called Rx Kids is aiming to help families and infants in Flint, Michigan, by providing financial support during pregnancy and the first year after birth.
Enrollment for the program has opened and it has no restrictions on income, giving parents the freedom to make their own decisions based on their family's needs.
Rx Kids is supported by various foundations, funds, and the state of Michigan, with a total estimated cost of $55 million over five years, of which $43 million has already been raised. [ more ]
