Robert Thomas is a first-line caliber center early in his prime at just 26 years old. Thomas is an elite playmaker who has tallied 60-plus assists and 80-plus points in each of the two previous seasons. He also averaged 21.25 goals scored over the last four seasons. A potential first-line duo of Thomas and David Pastrnak would be a lot of fun to watch.

It's very possible the trade deadline just happened a day early. Darius Garland, James Harden, Jaren Jackson jr., Anthony Davis, Trae Young, Keon Ellis, Coby White, Jared McCain, Anfernee Simons, and far more have all been dealt already. Are there dominoes left to fall? The Domantas Sabonis rumours seem to be cooling, while the Toronto Raptors have already moved beneath the luxury-tax line and found a rim-rolling big (though undersized). Is Ochai Agbaji and Trayce Jackson-Davis all?

The New England Patriots snagged their first playoff win since Super Bowl LIII on Sunday against the Chargers, a 16-3 win. The game ensures New England will play again next weekend. Should they win, then, they'd advance to the AFC Championship for the first time since Tom Brady took down a 23-year-old Patrick Mahomes. With New England's win, the range of their upcoming draft pick has become clearer. The Patriots will pick no earlier than No. 25 overall in April's draft, though fans will be hoping that pick is No. 32 with a Super Bowl win.

Boston Celtics Biggest need: The Celtics are still missing Jayson Tatum, who could come back later this season from the torn Achilles he suffered in last year's playoffs against the Knicks. Still, assuming Boston makes a move, its biggest need is getting out of the luxury tax to reset its repeater tax clock and see if it can move Anfernee Simons. Boston Red Sox The Red Sox still have some needs to address in the field and in the bullpen this offseason after swinging a pair of trades for starting pitchers. Ahead of this week's Winter Meetings, much of the free-agent rumors surrounding the Red Sox have been focused on Alex Bregman, Kyle Schwarber, and Pete Alonso. Bo Bichette's name has also joined that group as Boston seeks to add an impactful bat this offseason.
