Bruins Orlov has been praised for his multi-dimensional play, which helped the Capitals in the past.The Bruins swung a big trade Thursday to bolster their forward depth and, more importantly, strengthen their top defensive pairings.Boston acquired defenseman Dmitry Orlov, along with forward Garnet Hathaway, from the Washington Capitals in exchange for forward Craig Smith and three draft picks, including a first-round pick.

Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.The 28-year-old has a contract with Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2024 and he is valued at 40 million (35.4m).A report from Inter Live claims that German champions Bayern Munich are keen on signing the Croatian international at the end of the season and they are looking to execute a part exchange deal to sign the player.

Lothar Matthaus has urged Julian Nagelsmann to think again and ditch the idea of veteran Thomas Muller playing as a striker for Bayern Munich.Muller featured as Bayern's furthest man forward in a 4-4 friendly draw against Salzburg on Friday, as the German champions prepare for the resumption of the Bundesliga season.

The Dodgers believe they can get plenty of offensive production from their likely new double-play pairing of shortstop Gavin Lux and second baseman Miguel Vargas.How those two perform defensively, however, is harder to predict.Shortstop is Lux's natural position, and he handled the role for a stretch in 2021 while Corey Seager was injured.
