The Battery Park City Authority (BPCA) took Cove Club Condominium to court last week, arguing that if a judge doesn't grant it access to the condo, it won't be able to install critical flood walls and underground drainage structures around Battery Park City that could help prevent Hurricane Sandy-esque damage in the future.

The open house at 531 1st Street in Park Slope is priced at $7.5 million and will be held on Sunday, April 26, from 12-1 p.m., by appointment only.

Without committing to finishing the park, a mayoral approval of Monitor Point sends a clear message: the city will continue to collect on private development while deferring its public obligations.
